Harmonograph Hero

Independent watchmakers

Time, drawn slowly by hand.

Every movement is assembled, adjusted and regulated at a single bench. Twelve watches a year, each one signed by the person who made it.

About this block

Harmonograph HeroPRO

A centered gallery-print hero built on the harmonograph component: on a round plate, a single fine ink line is drawn live by two damped pendulums over a slowly turning table, and each finished rosette rests briefly, fades away completely and only then gives way to the next. The plate sways gently in 3D, leans toward the cursor and starts a new figure on click. Below it sit an eyebrow, a serif headline, an intro, an Arrow Pill and an underline link. Every drawing setting passes through the drawing prop; ink and paper follow the theme, it pauses offscreen and shows a finished figure for reduced motion.

Hero210: Harmonograph Hero

A centered hero with a round Harmonograph plate on top, where one fine ink line is drawn live by 2 damped pendulums over a slowly turning table, followed by an eyebrow, a serif headline, an intro, an Arrow Pill and an underline link that rise in on mount.

Base UI flavor

bash
npx shadcn add "https://ui.beste.co/r-base/hero210?email=YOUR_EMAIL&license_key=YOUR_KEY"

This installs the block to components/beste/block/hero210.tsx plus the harmonograph component and the button23 and button2 buttons it uses.

Quick start

The installed file exports hero210Demo alongside the block: the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working hero in one line.

tsx
import { Hero210, hero210Demo } from "@/components/beste/block/hero210";

export default function Page() {
  return <Hero210 {...hero210Demo} />;
}

Then replace the demo with your own props. Written out, a trimmed setup looks like this:

tsx
import { Hero210 } from "@/components/beste/block/hero210";

export default function Page() {
  return (
    <Hero210
      eyebrow="Independent watchmakers"
      heading="Time, drawn slowly by hand."
      description="Every movement is assembled, adjusted and regulated at a single bench."
      buttons={[
        { label: "Reserve a watch", href: "https://beste.co" },
        { label: "Visit the bench", href: "/bench" },
      ]}
      drawing={{
        inkColor: "var(--foreground)",
        paperColor: "var(--background)",
        duration: 12,
        hold: 0.8,
        round: true,
      }}
    />
  );
}

Behavior notes

  • The section is at least 640px tall and otherwise fills the viewport minus 78px, with everything centered vertically.
  • The plate is square, 84% of the column on phones and 70% from sm, capped at 560px. It fades and scales in from 0.96 over 1.6s.
  • Each finished figure rests, fades out completely and only then gives way to the next. The plate sways gently in 3D, leans toward the cursor and starts a new figure on click.
  • Ink and paper take CSS colors, theme tokens included, so the demo's var(--foreground) and var(--background) follow the theme. The drawing pauses offscreen.
  • Text rises in with delays from 0.3s to 0.65s. With reduced motion the entrances are skipped and the plate shows a finished figure.
