Base UI flavor

bash
npx shadcn add "https://beste.dev/r-base/hotel8?email=YOUR_EMAIL&license_key=YOUR_KEY"

This installs the block to components/beste/block/hotel8.tsx plus the text1 word stagger behind the heading and the shadcn/ui tabs primitive that switches between the sittings.

Quick start

The installed file exports hotel8Demo alongside the block: the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working section in one line.

tsx
import { Hotel8, hotel8Demo } from "@/components/beste/block/hotel8";

export default function Page() {
  return <Hotel8 {...hotel8Demo} />;
}

Then replace the demo with your own props. Written out, a trimmed setup looks like this:

tsx
import { Hotel8 } from "@/components/beste/block/hotel8";

export default function Page() {
  return (
    <Hotel8
      eyebrow="The menu"
      heading="Short, seasonal and written every afternoon."
      description="Tell us about allergies when you book and the kitchen will plan around you."
      sections={[
        {
          label: "Lunch",
          hours: "13:00 to 16:00",
          image: { src: "https://oud.pics/b/hotel/ostria-grilled-fish.webp", alt: "A whole grilled sea bream with charred lemon" },
          dishes: [
            { name: "Grilled sea bream", description: "Whole, with charred lemon and wild greens", price: "€34" },
            { name: "Fava from Santorini", description: "Slow cooked, with red onion and capers", price: "€12" },
          ],
        },
        {
          label: "Dinner",
          hours: "19:30 to 23:00",
          image: { src: "https://oud.pics/b/hotel/ostria-dining-terrace.webp", alt: "A long candlelit table under a vine pergola" },
          dishes: [
            { name: "Red mullet", description: "Crisp skin, saffron and fennel", price: "€32" },
            { name: "Orzo with sea urchin", description: "When the divers bring it in", price: "€29", tag: "Some nights" },
          ],
        },
      ]}
      footnote="Prices include tax. The menu changes with the catch and the garden."
    />
  );
}

Behavior notes

  • The first section is open on load. Tabs are keyed by label, so every section needs a unique label.
  • The active tab turns full strength and an underline grows in from the left beneath it. Inactive tabs are muted and brighten on hover, and the tab row scrolls sideways when the labels do not fit.
  • Switching tabs fades each dish up with a 0.06 second stagger, and the photograph crossfades to the section's image while scaling down from 1.06. Photos blur in only after they have loaded.
  • tag renders as a small muted note next to the dish name, and price is free text, so values like "Included" work.
  • From the medium breakpoint the menu takes 7 columns and the 4:5 photograph sits sticky in the other 5. On phones the photo stacks under the menu.
  • The heading block and menu fade up as they enter the viewport (once). Reduced motion skips the entrances, the dish stagger and the blur.
