Ocean Horizon Hero

Meridian Sail, crewed charters in the Aegean

Nowhere to be but the horizon.

Sailing yachts for up to eight guests, with slow days between quiet islands and dinner served at anchor.

About this block

Ocean Horizon HeroPRO

A full-bleed sailing charter hero over the ocean-horizon background component: the open sea at dusk like a calm cinematic photograph, with a swell that rolls toward the viewer, sky reflections, a sun glitter path running to the horizon, light glowing through the crests, soft haze and thin high clouds, while the camera rides the swell and turns gently toward the cursor. A white semibold headline, an intro, an Arrow Pill and an underline link rise in at the lower left over a soft shade. Every sea setting passes through the ocean prop.

Hero259: Ocean Horizon Hero

A full-bleed hero over the ocean-horizon WebGL background, the open sea at dusk with a swell rolling toward the viewer, sky reflections, a sun glitter path and thin high clouds while the camera rides the swell and turns toward the cursor, with a white headline, an intro, an Arrow Pill and an underline link rising in at the lower left.

Base UI flavor

bash
npx shadcn add "https://ui.beste.co/r-base/hero259?email=YOUR_EMAIL&license_key=YOUR_KEY"

This installs the block to components/beste/block/hero259.tsx plus the ocean-horizon background and the button23 and button2 buttons it uses.

Quick start

The installed file exports hero259Demo alongside the block: the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working hero in one line.

tsx
import { Hero259, hero259Demo } from "@/components/beste/block/hero259";

export default function Page() {
  return <Hero259 {...hero259Demo} />;
}

Then replace the demo with your own props. Written out, a trimmed setup looks like this:

tsx
import { Hero259 } from "@/components/beste/block/hero259";

export default function Page() {
  return (
    <Hero259
      eyebrow="Meridian Sail, crewed charters in the Aegean"
      heading="Nowhere to be but the horizon."
      description="Sailing yachts for up to eight guests, with dinner served at anchor."
      buttons={[
        { label: "Plan a charter", href: "/charter" },
        { label: "See the fleet", href: "/fleet" },
      ]}
      ocean={{
        skyTop: "#1b2544",
        skyHorizon: "#e39a74",
        sunColor: "#ffd29a",
        waterColor: "#0a2130",
        sunHeight: 0.16,
        sunX: 0.62,
        glitter: 0.7,
        haze: 0.45,
      }}
    />
  );
}

Behavior notes

  • The sea always renders behind the copy; leave out ocean and the component uses its own default dusk.
  • With interactive on, the camera turns gently toward the cursor while it rides the swell.
  • The background adapts its resolution and wave detail, pauses offscreen and holds a still frame for reduced motion.
  • Before the canvas is ready, or without WebGL, the same scene shows as a CSS gradient, and the section itself is painted black underneath.
  • The sea at dusk is lit the same in every theme, so the copy stays white (text-white with /75 to /85 steps) and a black bottom gradient over 70% of the height keeps it readable.
  • The copy rises in on mount with delays from 0.16s to 0.44s; reduced motion shows it in place.
