Hover Room List

Everything we offer

Hoveralinetoseetheroomithappensin.

Five kinds of work, each with its own pace and its own place. Most people start with one and drift toward another as the year goes on.

About this block

Hover Room ListPRO

A ruled index of offerings beside a pinned photograph: hovering or focusing a serif line brightens it, slides an arrow into place and blurs in the photograph of the room it happens in, all under a serif heading that settles in word by word, an intro and a pill action.

Feature280: Hover Room List

A numbered list of everything on offer, where hovering or focusing a row swaps the sticky photograph beside it, brightens that line and slides an arrow into place.

Base UI flavor

npx shadcn add "https://ui.beste.co/r-base/feature280?email=YOUR_EMAIL&license_key=YOUR_KEY"

This installs the block to components/beste/block/feature280.tsx plus the button22 sliding-marker pill and the text1 word stagger it uses.

Quick start

The installed file exports feature280Demo alongside the block: the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working offerings list in one line.

tsx
import { Feature280, feature280Demo } from "@/components/beste/block/feature280";

export default function Page() {
  return <Feature280 {...feature280Demo} />;
}

Then replace the demo with your own props. Written out, a trimmed setup looks like this:

tsx
import { Feature280 } from "@/components/beste/block/feature280";

export default function Page() {
  return (
    <Feature280
      eyebrow="Everything we offer"
      heading="Hover a line to see the room it happens in."
      description="Five kinds of work, each with its own pace and its own place."
      button={{ label: "Not sure which? Ask us", href: "/contact", tone: "outline" }}
      items={[
        {
          title: "One-to-one therapy",
          description: "Weekly, in the room or online.",
          href: "/therapy",
          image: { src: "/rooms/bench.jpg", alt: "A sunlit room with a low timber bench" },
        },
      ]}
    />
  );
}

Behavior notes

  • The swap is bound to onMouseEnter and onFocus together, so tabbing through the list changes the photograph exactly as hovering does; the preview is not mouse-only.
  • The picture is keyed on the active index inside AnimatePresence, so the outgoing image cross-fades under the incoming one rather than snapping.
  • The arrow is always in the layout and animates on opacity and translate rather than being mounted and unmounted, so the row's width never changes as the selection moves.
  • Inactive titles sit at text-foreground/60 and lift to full over 500ms, which marks the current row without hiding the others.
  • Numbers come from the index, padded to two digits and set in tabular-nums, so a column of them stays aligned.
  • The photograph column is sticky top-28, so it stays beside the list for the length of the scroll; the list itself is a ul with divide-y and a border at both ends.
  • Every row is one Link, so the whole strip is the hit target and the preview is a side effect of aiming at it.
