About this block

Month Index ChangelogPRO

A changelog grouped by month with a sticky index on the left: each month is a button that scrolls the page to its group, a short rule grows beside the current one, and the index follows as you scroll. Entries on the right show the day, a title and a plain dotted list of changes. Serif headline settles in word by word, one sliding-marker pill in the header.

Changelog33: Month Index Changelog

A changelog grouped by month with an index down the left: each month scrolls the page to its group, and the index follows along as you read.

Base UI flavor

bash
npx shadcn add "https://ui.beste.co/r-base/changelog33?email=YOUR_EMAIL&license_key=YOUR_KEY"

This installs the block to components/beste/block/changelog33.tsx plus the button22 sliding-marker pill and the text1 word stagger it uses.

Quick start

The installed file exports changelog33Demo alongside the block: the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working page in one line.

tsx
import { Changelog33, changelog33Demo } from "@/components/beste/block/changelog33";

export default function Page() {
  return <Changelog33 {...changelog33Demo} />;
}

Then replace the demo with your own props. Written out, a trimmed setup looks like this:

tsx
import { Changelog33 } from "@/components/beste/block/changelog33";

export default function Page() {
  return (
    <Changelog33
      eyebrow="Changelog"
      heading="Month by month."
      description="Small releases, often. Pick a month or scroll through the year."
      buttons={[{ label: "Follow by email", href: "/updates", tone: "outline" }]}
      months={[
        {
          label: "September 2026",
          entries: [
            { date: "5 Sep", title: "Yearly pricing", changes: ["Monthly and yearly switch", "Seat calculator"] },
          ],
        },
      ]}
    />
  );
}

Behavior notes

  • Index entries call scrollIntoView on a ref held per month, and pass behavior: "auto" under reduced motion so the jump is instant rather than animated.
  • The active month is tracked with onViewportEnter on each group using a tall negative viewport margin, which fires when the group crosses the middle of the screen rather than its edge.
  • That tracking viewport has no once, unlike the entrance animations, because it has to keep firing as you scroll back and forth.
  • Groups carry scroll-mt-24 so a jump lands below a fixed header rather than under it. Match that to your navigation height.
  • The index is sticky and vertical from the large breakpoint, and wraps into a horizontal row below it, so it stays usable on a phone without pinning.
  • The short rule beside the active month is a width transition rather than a transform, so it grows from the text rather than scaling out of it.
  • Entries use day-level dates because the month is already the group heading, which keeps the left column narrow.
